J-Made Loom

This is a J-Made Floor Loom Conversion. It started out its life as a table loom, but J-Made offers a kit to convert their table looms into floor looms, and the prior owner did that. It's a great loom, sturdy, with a good size shed and easy treadling. I replaced all of the texsolve cords when I purchased it a few years ago.

Specifications:

30 inch weaving width
8 shafts
10 treadles
2 reeds: 8 and 12 dent
A lot of extra heddles
Original instruction books
Handle for back beam
Brakes: gear
Footprint: 36" x 35"

Here's a view of the loom from the front:

  1. Hi Linda,
I just acquired a 36" J-Made loom very similar to yours - mine has the floor loom conversion too. I didn't receive any documentation with the loom and it was partically disassembled, so when I found your blog pics, they were a tremendous help in putting my loom back together. I would like to acquire the set up and instructions similar to the paperwork you have pictured. Would you perhaps be able to scan the instructions and email them to me? If you can help me, please let me know, and thanks again for the wonderful pics.

  2. Hi, is this the loom that is for sale on craigslist - or did someone gank your photo?
